Scope

This standard specifies the general provisions, inspection items, and technical requirements for electrical explosion-proof safety inspections in hazardous areas, as well as inspection methods. The inspections stipulated in this standard include both testing and checks. This standard applies to on-site electrical safety inspections in explosive hazardous areas, but not to the quality and performance inspections of explosion-proof electrical products. This standard does not apply to the following areas or environments: - Underground coal mines; - Manufacturing and processing sites for gunpowder and explosives; - Areas of electrolysis and electroplating electrical devices that use electrical energy for production and are directly related to the production process; - Battery rooms; - Environments with substances that use strong oxidants and can spontaneously ignite without an external ignition source; - Water, land, and air transportation vehicles, as well as offshore oil (gas) well platforms.
