Basic Information
Scope
1.1 This standard specifies the safety guidelines for the manufacture and installation of permanently installed electrically driven traction or forced-action inclined elevators. This standard applies to inclined elevators that serve designated floors, and their carrying devices are used to transport passengers or goods suspended by steel ropes or chains and running along guide rails with an angle to the horizontal plane greater than or equal to 15° and less than 75° within a defined path.
1.2 In special circumstances (such as potentially explosive environments, extreme weather conditions, earthquake situations, or the transportation of dangerous goods), additional requirements should be considered in addition to the requirements of this standard.
