Scope

This standard specifies the technical requirements for bypass switches used in high-voltage AC series capacitors, including rated values, design and structure, test requirements, installation, operation, and maintenance rules, etc.
This standard applies to bypass switches designed for installation outdoors and operating in systems with a frequency of 50 Hz and a voltage of 66 kV or higher.
This standard is only applicable to bypass switches in three-phase systems.
This standard also applies to the operating mechanisms and auxiliary equipment of bypass switches.
