Scope

This standard specifies the grades, classifications, and designations of hot-rolled steel plates and steel strips made from low-alloy steel and alloy steel for automotive beams, as well as the order details, dimensions, shapes, weights, allowable deviations, technical requirements, testing methods, inspection rules, packaging, markings, and quality certificates.
This standard applies to the manufacture of hot-rolled steel plates and steel strips (hereinafter referred to as steel plates and steel strips) with a thickness of 1.6 mm to 16.0 mm for automotive beams (longitudinal beams and transverse beams).
