Scope

This part of GB/T 8190 specifies the parameters used to determine the technical specifications of engine families and select source engines. This part is applicable to land-based, railway traction, and marine reciprocating internal combustion engines, but does not include engines primarily used for road driving. This part can also be used for power output and/or driving engines such as agricultural equipment, road construction machinery, earthmoving machinery, industrial trucks, and generator sets.
