Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, types and basic parameters, requirements, test methods, inspection methods, marking and packaging of electronic digital external diameter micrometers. This standard applies to electronic digital external diameter micrometers (hereinafter referred to as "electronic digital micrometers") with a resolution higher than or equal to 0.001 mm, a measuring range of less than or equal to 30 mm, and an upper limit of the measurement range of up to 500 mm.
