Scope

This standard applies to the planning, design, construction, acceptance, and management of rainwater collection and utilization projects in semi-arid areas where surface water and groundwater are scarce or difficult to develop and utilize, and where the average annual precipitation exceeds 250mm; in humid and semi-humid hilly areas prone to seasonal water shortages; and in islands and coastal areas. This standard does not apply to urban rainwater collection and utilization projects.
