Scope

This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, marking, labeling, user manuals, packaging, transportation, and storage for retinol-binding protein assay kits (immunoturbidimetry). This standard applies to the determination of retinol-binding protein in serum samples using immunoturbidimetry with spectrophotometers or biochemical analyzers (such as immunotransmission turbidimetry and latex-enhanced immunoturbidimetry), as well as in urine samples. This standard does not apply to the evaluation of retinol-binding protein calibrators and quality control products.
