This guidance technical document provides basic mechanical performance data for the dry tensile strength, wet tensile strength, relative wet strength, dry tensile elongation, wet tensile elongation, and initial modulus of certain textile fibers.
This guidance technical document is applicable to ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene fibers, aramid 1414, aramid 1313, polyphenylene sulfide fibers, polyimide fibers, polyethylene terephthalate fibers, polybutylene terephthalate fibers, polylactic acid fibers, chitosan fibers, and lyocell fibers.
