Scope

This standard specifies the nature, establishment principles, construction norms, and management requirements of recycling resource sorting centers.
This standard applies to recycling resource sorting centers, including those for sorting scrap steel, non-ferrous metals, discarded electrical and electronic products, scrapped mechanical and electrical equipment, waste paper raw materials, waste plastics, waste tires, waste chemical light materials, waste glass, etc. It does not apply to the establishment, construction, and management activities of sorting centers for solid waste, hazardous waste, and scrapped automobiles that can be used as raw materials in China, which are subject to separate provisions in Chinese laws, regulations, and rules.
