GB/T 4617-2009 Plastics—Phenolic mouldings—Determination of acetone-soluble matter
Basic Information
Scope
This standard specifies the method of determining the content of soluble substances extracted from finely ground phenolic molded products by acetone at near boiling point by the gravimetric method.
This standard is applicable to the determination of acetone-soluble substances in phenolic molded products.
The acetone-soluble substances test is a method for determining the relative degree of curing of phenolic molded products made from a given material. The extraction process should be carried out under specified conditions within a specified time. Although the vast majority of soluble substances are determined, the extraction effect may not be complete. The results are only comparative, because in addition to the possibly uncured resin extracts, other substances such as lubricants, colorants, and plasticizers are usually also present.
