Scope

This standard specifies the terms, definitions, and abbreviations of the cathodic protection system for buried prestressed steel-concrete pipes (hereinafter referred to as PCCP pipes), requirements, guidelines, design, construction and acceptance, operation management, documents and management.
This standard applies to the cathodic protection of newly built or existing buried PCCP pipes. Other prestressed reinforced concrete pipes can also be used for reference.
