Scope

This document specifies a general quality assessment procedure for the motion picture performance of transmissive thin-film transistor (TFT) liquid crystal display devices, provides a definition of artifacts in motion pictures, and describes the testing methods for motion artifacts. This document is applicable to the testing of transmissive active matrix liquid crystal display devices. Note: Due to the complexity of motion picture enhancement technologies, the testing and analysis methods for motion blur mentioned in this document are not universally applicable to all different types of liquid crystal display devices.
