Scope

This specification applies to the construction and acceptance of steel-concrete composite structures in industrial and civil buildings and general structures. According to the requirements of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development's "Notice on Issuing the 2008 Plan for the Formulation and Revision of Engineering Construction Standards (First Batch)" (Jianbiao [2008] No. 102), the specification preparation group conducted extensive investigations and studies, carefully summarized practical experience, referred to relevant international standards and advanced foreign standards, and compiled this specification based on extensive solicitation of opinions. The main technical contents of this specification are: General Provisions, Terms and Symbols, Basic Provisions, Materials and Components, Steel-Concrete Columns, Shaped-Steel Concrete Columns, Shaped-Steel Concrete Beams, Steel-Concrete Composite Shear Walls, Steel-Concrete Composite Slabs, and Quality Acceptance. The provisions marked in bold in this specification are mandatory and must be strictly implemented.
