Scope

1.1 This standard applies to paper cutting machines, three-sided book cutting machines, rotary cutting machines, round corner cutting machines, label punching machines, and other paper cutting machinery. This standard will be used together with prEN 10101 to jointly confirm all major hazards when using paper cutting machines under the conditions specified by the manufacturer (see Chapter 4). The special provisions in this standard take precedence over the corresponding provisions of prEN 10101. 1.2 This standard does not apply to longitudinal cutting machines and reel paper cutting machines for single sheets.
