Scope

Scope: This document specifies the content and methods of evaluating the quality of rubber plantation resources. This document is applicable to the investigation and evaluation of rubber plantation resource quality. Main technical content: 1. Terms and definitions 1.1 Rubber plantation, also known as jiao plantation. A shortcut or abbreviation for rubber tree plantation. A plantation cultivated and managed according to certain requirements for the main purpose of producing natural rubber. 1.2 Investigation unit. The investigation unit is the basic unit of rubber plantation resource quality investigation. The investigation area is divided into several investigation units by roads, ditches, canals, and natural landforms (rivers, gorges, riverbanks, ridges, protective forests, and residential boundary lines, etc.). Within the same investigation unit, the natural conditions are generally similar, and the rubber plantations are contiguous and concentrated, with the same planting age. 1.3 Young rubber plantation, also known as young tree rubber plantation and medium-small tree rubber plantation. The rubber plantation after planting but before it can be tapped, that is, the rubber plantation in the non-production period, that is, the rubber plantation that has not been tapped. 1.4 Rubber plantation under tapping, also known as tapped rubber plantation. The rubber plantation that has been tapped. 1.5 Tapping age. The age calculated by calendar from the official tapping date. 1.6 Mean value of potential vigor. The mean value of potential vigor refers to the percentage of stems with a girth ≥ 80% of the average girth to ≤ 120% of the average girth in the same investigation unit, among the total number of measured stems (except for missing stems). 1.7 Effective plant and effective plant rate.
