Scope
This standard applies to the design and construction of steel vertical cylindrical aboveground single-capacity, double-capacity, and full-capacity tanks used to store hydrocarbons or ammonia with a boiling point of 0°C to 165°C, and a design pressure not exceeding 50kPa. This standard does not apply to membrane tanks and primary storage tanks made solely of prestressed concrete.
