Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, symbols and explanations, test principles, specimens, test methods, determination of two-way stress-strain curves, and test reports for the two-way tensile test of cross-shaped specimens made from metal sheets and strips.
This standard is applicable to the two-way tensile test of cross-shaped specimens with a plate thickness of not less than 0.1 mm and not more than 0.08 times the width of the specimen arm (see Figure 1) for measuring the stress-strain curves of metal sheets. The test temperature range is 10 °C to 35 °C. The two-way tensile test under other temperature conditions can also be carried out in accordance with this standard.
