Scope

This standard stipulates the general principles of dust prevention in casting, process measures, construction measures, equipment measures, and other measures; dust prevention and dust removal measures for furnaces, casting raw material processing, molding, core making, sand removal, and cleaning and finishing; technical measures for ventilation and dust removal systems, and the management and supervision of dust prevention work. This standard applies to the design and management of new construction, reconstruction, and expansion projects, as well as technological transformation and technology introduction projects in steel casting, iron casting, and non-ferrous metal casting workshops. Existing casting workshops should also comply with this standard. Enterprises and institutions that produce casting equipment and provide services to casting workshops should also comply with this standard.
