GB/T 11785-2026 Reaction to fire tests for floorings—Determination of the burning behaviour using a radiant heat source

Scope

This document specifies a test method for evaluating the combustion behavior, flame propagation, and smoke emission characteristics of flooring materials installed horizontally when exposed to a test chamber with a specific gradient of heat radiation flux. The smoke emission characteristics are measured in Appendix A. This document is applicable to the combustion performance testing of flooring materials (including substrates) such as fabric carpets, cork flooring, wooden flooring, plastic flooring, and floor coatings. Any backing materials of the flooring materials, the adhesion method to the substrate, the underlying materials, or other changes may affect the test results. This document is applicable to the determination and description of the combustion performance of flooring materials under controlled test conditions when exposed to flames and heat. For information on the accuracy of the test method, please refer to Appendix B.
