Scope

This part of GB/T 3292 specifies the method of measuring the diameter non-uniformity of yarn along the length of the yarn using a photoelectric yarn evenness tester.
This part is applicable to yarns made from various fibers with a nearly circular cross-section.
Note: The detection principles of photoelectric method and capacitive method are different. The yarn evenness non-uniformity reflected by the photoelectric method refers to the non-uniformity of the projected diameter of the nearly circular yarn, which is related to the yarn density non-uniformity reflected by the capacitive method, but they are not the same thing.
