Scope

This standard specifies the safety requirements and/or measures, verification, usage information, and user responsibilities that must be adhered to in the design and manufacture of bending machines.
This standard applies to winding bending machines used for bending in a cold state, including mechanical bending machines, hydraulic bending machines, CNC bending machines, small-radius bending machines, and auxiliary devices such as loading and unloading devices that may be included; it does not apply to dedicated bending tools, bending machine auxiliary equipment, such as sawing, tube end forming, and inspection machines or devices, or production lines composed of dedicated bending machines.
