Scope

This standard specifies the safety technical requirements for fixed cranes in ports (hereinafter referred to as cranes) in terms of design, manufacturing, installation, testing, use and maintenance, inspection and repair. This standard applies to cranes used for loading and unloading general cargo and bulk cargo in ports. Cranes used for container loading and unloading operations can also be used as a reference for this standard.
