Scope

This standard specifies the product classification and marking, requirements and test methods, inspection rules, labeling, packaging, transportation, and storage of mineral oil-based, synthetic hydrocarbon-based, and synthetic refrigeration oil for refrigeration compressors.
This standard applies to refrigeration oil for refrigeration compressors using NH3, HCFCs, HFCs, and HCs as refrigerants. For a detailed scope of application, please refer to Appendix A.
