Scope
This document specifies the general requirements, test items and methods, test inspections, and test reports for the testing of integrating sphere light sources used in the calibration of remote sensors. This document is applicable to integrating sphere [light sources] with a continuous spectrum, which are used for the radiation calibration of remote sensors and have an output wavelength range of ultraviolet to shortwave infrared (350 nm to 2,500 nm) and an exit aperture diameter of greater than or equal to 100 mm, whether built-in or externally introduced. Other integrating sphere [light sources] tests shall be carried out in accordance with this document.
