This document specifies the spectrophotometric determination method for reducing end groups in water-soluble chitosan.
This document is applicable to the detection of reducing end groups in water-soluble chitosan (with a content of ≥90% and a degree of deacetylation of ≥90%).
The detection limit of this method is 0.006 mmol/g, and the quantification limit is 0.023 mmol/g.
