Scope
This standard specifies the technical requirements, marking, and packaging for machine taps (high-performance grade and ordinary grade), hand taps, and nut taps. This standard applies to taps used for machining ordinary threads (GB/T 192, GB/T 193, GB/T 196, GB/T 197). High-performance machine taps are mainly suitable for CNC machine tools, machining centers, or other automatic machine tools.
