Scope

This document outlines the biological environmental conditions that affect electrical and electronic products in natural environments. During the product's life cycle, they may be subject to biological influences or damage at almost any time. Moreover, many organisms exhibit different aggressive behaviors. This document discusses all areas where biological factors can cause damage to products during storage, transportation, or use. Generally, animals can damage products in both natural and man-made environments, such as warehouses or buildings. However, plants primarily cause damage to products in open-air locations. Fungi and bacteria can be found both in open-air areas and in warehouses or buildings. This document serves as background material for selecting appropriate biological conditions for products.
