Scope

This standard specifies the basic characteristics and measurement methods of instruments for measuring thermal environmental parameters. This standard is designed to standardize the recording of test data and thus define a number of indicators, which do not involve specific indicators of comfort or thermal stress. This standard applies to: a) the manufacturing of instruments for measuring environmental physical quantities and the specifications for the use of such equipment; b) contracts between parties regarding the measurement of these physical quantities. This standard applies to the effects of hot, moderate, comfortable, or cold environments on the human body.
