Scope

This document specifies the requirements for nucleic acid detection techniques commonly used in the diagnosis of Taura syndrome, and provides the reagents or materials, instruments and equipment, samples, test procedures, and result determination needed for RT-PCR detection of the Taura syndrome virus (TSV).
This document is applicable to the qualitative detection of TSV in samples from all life stages of shrimp, for the purpose of conducting epidemiological surveys, diagnosis, quarantine, and monitoring of Taura syndrome.
