Scope

This standard specifies the determination method of copper and zinc content in industrial circulating cooling water and scale by atomic absorption spectrometry. This standard is applicable to the determination of copper content in industrial circulating cooling water ranging from 0.5 mg/L to 50 mg/L, and zinc content ranging from 0.1 mg/L to 20 mg/L, as well as copper content in scale ranging from 0.5 mg/g to 10 mg/g, and zinc content ranging from 0.1 mg/g to 10 mg/g. This standard is also applicable to the determination of copper and zinc content in various industrial waters, raw water, domestic water, and boiler water scale. This standard is also applicable to the determination of zinc content in phosphorus-zinc pre-film solution used for industrial circulating cooling water.
