Scope

This standard specifies the methods for determining acid-soluble magnesium, calcium, manganese, iron, copper, sodium, and potassium in paper, cardboard, pulp, and cellulose nanomaterials using atomic absorption spectrometry (AAS) or inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry (ICP-OES).
This standard is applicable to paper, cardboard, pulp, and cellulose nanomaterials.
The detection limits of magnesium in this standard are 0.4 mg/kg; calcium is 0.2 mg/kg; manganese is 0.4 mg/kg; iron is 1.0 mg/kg; copper is 0.6 mg/kg; sodium is 0.4 mg/kg; and potassium is 1.2 mg/kg.
