This standard applies to the naming and classification coding of measuring instruments subject to legal management, including those listed in the "Catalogue of Measuring Instruments Managed by the People's Republic of China in Accordance with the Law (Type Approval Section)" (hereinafter referred to as the "Type Approval Catalogue") and the "Catalogue of Work Measuring Instruments Subject to Mandatory Verification in the People's Republic of China" (hereinafter referred to as the "Mandatory Verification Catalogue"). Other measuring instruments may refer to this standard for implementation.
This standard does not apply to the naming and classification coding of measurement references, measurement standards, and standard substances.
