GB/T 40324-2021 Non-destructive testing—Testing method for large diameter round bars by focused ultrasound
Basic Information
Scope
This document specifies the general requirements, inspection procedures, and acceptance criteria for ultrasonic testing of large-diameter round bars using water immersion zone focusing (multiple single-crystal focusing probes or ultrasonic phased array probes). This document applies to special metal round bars (such as titanium alloys and high-temperature alloys) with a diameter of not less than 100 mm, which are prepared by forging, extrusion, and rolling forming processes. Note: Special metal round bars primarily refer to those with high material quality requirements, which necessitate the use of higher detection sensitivity and signal-to-noise ratio to detect small defects. They are often used in the manufacture of certain critical components in the aerospace industry.
