Scope

This standard specifies the test methods for evaluating the image quality, resolution, geometric aberrations, and wavefront aberrations of optical systems.
This standard applies to infinity-corrected imaging optical systems, telecentric optical systems, and limited-distance imaging optical systems used in the visible spectral range. Optical systems used in other adjacent spectral ranges can be referenced for use.
