Scope

This section stipulates the requirements for the manufacture, inspection, and acceptance of 15Mn steel plates used in safety-class equipment of pressurized water reactor nuclear power plants. This section applies to low-alloy steel plates with a thickness of less than or equal to 205 mm used in safety-class equipment of pressurized water reactor nuclear power plants. This section does not apply to low-alloy steel plates used in safety containment vessels.
