Scope

This part of GB/T 15146 specifies the physical and chemical environments in which borosilicate glass Rashi rings are used as neutron absorbers in fissile material solutions, as well as the technical requirements for the rings and their containment vessels, the subcritical limits, and maintenance and inspection procedures. This part is applicable to situations where borosilicate glass Rashi rings are used as neutron absorbers in criticality control in containers containing solutions of uranium-235, plutonium-239, or uranium-233.
