Scope
This standard specifies the mercury method and the thermal conductivity method as the basic determination methods for the diffusion hydrogen content in molten metal.
This standard is applicable to the determination of the diffusion hydrogen content in martensite, bainite, and ferrite welds made by methods such as electrode arc welding, submerged arc welding, gas-shielded arc welding with solid welding wire, and flux-cored arc welding.
