Scope

Scope: This document specifies the cuttings and transplantation of Buddha's Hand in Sichuan Province. This document is applicable to the administrative area of Sha Wan District, Leshan City, Sichuan Province for the cuttings and transplantation of Buddha's Hand. Main technical content: 1. Cuttings and transplantation 1.1 Cutting time: Cuttings can be planted in spring from February to March and in autumn from August to September, with autumn being the preferred time for planting. 1.2 Treatment of cuttings: Use ABT rooting agent at a concentration of 30mg/L to soak the base of the cuttings for 40 minutes. 1.3 Cutting method: Open horizontal trenches on the bed with a distance of 23cm to 27cm between trenches. Insert the cuttings into the trenches at a planting density of 15cm × 20cm per row, with the depth of the cuttings exposing 1–2 buds. Avoid sticking the lower end of the cuttings to the plastic film during planting. After planting, cover the soil and compact it, and do not plant the cuttings upside down. 1.4 Post-planting management: Water the cuttings immediately after planting. Water should be infiltrated from both sides of the plastic film, not in a large flood. Water according to the soil moisture condition. 2. Seedling management 2.1 Watering, fertilization, and weeding: When the seedlings grow to 2–6cm, water them with small amounts of water, not with large floods. Water according to the soil moisture condition and weed in time. In late June to early July, combine watering with fertilization once, applying 200kg/hm2–250kg/hm2 of urea. 2.2 Bud removal: Remove the buds in time, leaving one healthy branch. 2.3 Pest and weed control: Remove diseased and pest-infested seedlings and manually remove weeds. 3. Transplantation 3.1 Site preparation and planting: Convert hilly and mountainous areas into terraced fields with equal elevation.
