Scope

This standard specifies the basic tooth profile of cylindrical worm gears.
This standard applies to cylindrical worm gear drives with a module m ≥ 1mm and an axial intersection angle ∑ = 90°. The types of basic worm gears include Archimedean worm gears (ZA worm gears), normal straight profile worm gears (ZN worm gears), involute worm gears (ZI worm gears), and conical envelope cylindrical worm gears (ZK worm gears).
