Scope
This standard specifies the dimensional data that should be indicated on the drawings of cylindrical worms and worm wheels, and recommends the data that should be indicated on the drawings of worm drive devices (see Appendix A). This standard is applicable to the drawing of cylindrical worms, worm wheels, and drive devices with an axis intersection angle of Σ=90°, or it can be used as the basis for providing necessary technical parameters to manufacturers by their users.
