Scope

This section specifies the general test method for determining the electrical resistivity (specific resistance) of pigment water extracts. This method is applicable to all pigments and body pigments (except those that are clearly soluble in water). It should be noted that the electrical resistivity of pigment water extracts is a property of pigments and is not related to the amount of water-soluble substances. If agreed upon, the cold extraction method can be used, but it needs to be noted in the report. The standard temperature for the determination is 23℃. After consultation with relevant parties, different temperatures can also be used, but the temperature differences must be considered and necessary corrections must be made.
