Scope

This standard specifies the method of using penetration testing to detect cracks, holes, and local loosening in copper-tungsten electrical contacts, as well as interface cracks and inclusions in copper-tungsten overall electrical contacts, copper end cracks, and gas pores and other common defects. This standard is applicable to the detection of open defects in copper-tungsten electrical contacts and copper-tungsten overall electrical contacts. This standard is not applicable to the detection of closed defects in copper-tungsten electrical contacts and copper-tungsten overall electrical contacts.
