Scope
This standard specifies the ultrasonic flaw detection method for discontinuity defects in titanium and titanium alloy pipes based on the reflection signals of artificial comparison samples. This standard is applicable to the ultrasonic flaw detection of seamless or welded titanium and titanium alloy pipes used in condensers and heat exchangers with an outer diameter of 6 mm to 80 mm, a wall thickness of 0.5 mm to 4.5 mm, and a wall thickness-to-outer diameter ratio of no more than 0.2. The ultrasonic flaw detection of titanium and titanium alloy pipes for other purposes can be used as a reference.
