Scope

This document specifies the technical requirements, inspection methods, inspection rules, determination of product inspection results, packaging, marking, transportation, storage, and quality certificates for boron-containing graphite rods used in fast neutron reactors. This document applies to boron-containing graphite rods made from calcined petroleum coke, coal tar, and boron carbide as the main raw materials, through molding, roasting, impregnation, re-roasting, graphitization, and mechanical processing, for use in shielding fast neutron reactors.
