Scope
This section specifies the measurement and evaluation methods for material loss caused by cavitation in the flow components of energy storage pumps and water pump turbines under given conditions (such as the power, hydraulic specific energy, rotational speed, materials, operating conditions, and operating time specified in the contract). The contract should stipulate whether there is cavitation in the hydraulic machinery within the entire or partial operating range. Regardless of whether cavitation occurs, the cavitation guarantee value should be clearly specified in the contract. The descriptions of power stations in this section also apply to energy storage pump stations.
