GB/T 7216-2009 Metallographic test for gray cast iron

Scope

This standard specifies the evaluation method for the microstructure of gray cast iron under an optical microscope.
This standard prescribes the evaluation methods for the distribution and shape of graphite, the length of graphite, the quantity of pearlite, the quantity of carbides, the quantity of phosphorus eutectic, and the quantity of eutectic clusters, and lists the corresponding grading charts.
This standard is applicable to the evaluation of the microstructure of ordinary and low-alloy gray cast iron.
