This standard specifies the electrical connection values for analog signals when interconnecting audio, video, and audiovisual system equipment.
This standard applies to audio signals (excluding video signals) for broadcasting and similar purposes.
This standard does not include the interconnection using a 21-pin connector described in IEC 60807-9.
This standard does not apply to the connection values for in-vehicle equipment.
For the interconnection of digital signals, please refer to IEC 60958.
