Scope
This part of GB/T 15843 specifies eight mechanisms for entity authentication based on manual data transmission between devices. This part indicates how these mechanisms can be used to support key management functions and how to securely select the parameters of each mechanism. For these eight mechanisms, this part provides their ASN.1 definitions and conducts an analysis and comparison of their security levels and efficiency. These mechanisms can be applied to a variety of application scenarios. A typical application is in personal networks, where, as part of the process of device access to the network, users perform entity authentication between two devices with wireless communication capabilities that they own.
