Scope

This standard will help understand the terms and definitions related to general lighting based on LED technology. These terms have already been applied in China's LED standards or manufacturers' materials. This standard provides descriptive terms (such as "LED light source") and measurable parameters (such as "color rendering index") that have been revised from IEC 60050-845. Note: Appendix A provides a schematic diagram of LED packaging design and an overview of systems composed of LED light sources and control devices.
